Maria needs to mail 3 letters. Each letter costs $0.41 to mail. How much change will she get back if she gives the clerk $2.00?

If Maria gives the clerk $2.00 then she will get $0.77 back in change.

I found this by using the expression x = 2.00 - 3(0.41) and solving for x.
