A major architectural
development that appeared in roman architecture was the arch. Romans did not
actually invent the arch since arches are present during the prehistoric times,
but the Romans have developed ways to use this in order to support the weight of a heavy
structure by using concrete. The Romans use this architectural form in making
sturdy bridges, longer roads and complex buildings.
