[tex]2y = 4x + 24[/tex]
divide both sides by 2, so we can have the algebraic equation y=mx+b.
the new equation is
[tex]y = 2x + 12[/tex]
2x+12=3x+5
-5 -5
2x+7=3x
-2x -2x
7=1x
7=x
