angles 1 and 2 are corresponding angles

angle 1 + angle 2 = 180

x + x + 50 = 180
combine like terms

2x + 50 = 180
subtract 50 from both sides

2x = 130
divide both sides by 2 to isolate x

x = 65

Angle 1 = x = 65

Angle 2 = x + 50 = 115
