Mutation is the spontaneous random changes that occur in the genetic make up of an organisms. Glandular epithelial cells are cells of the glandular epithelium tissue that covers and lines major glands in the body. The main function of glandular epithelium is secretion of substances to the blood stream. When the cells of the glandular epithelium mutate and divide in uncontrolled manner due to various factors in the gene sequence it may cause development of prostatic cancer.
