Sarah and Rico both collect rocks. If Sarah has three times as many rocks as Rico, and she has 84 rocks, how many rocks does Rico have?

So you have to divide 84 by 3 because she has 3 times more than Rico which gives you 28. Rico has 28 rocks

So this is how I would do it, take 84, divide it by 3 and you will get 28, so that means that Rico has 28 rocks
