Two angles form a linear pair. the measure of one angle is 26∘26∘ greater than the measure of the other angle. find the measure of each angle.

A linear pair means that the sum of the angles is 180 degrees.

Therefore:

a + b = 180°

 

We know that:

a = b + 26°

 

Therefore:

b + 26 + b = 180

2b = 154

b = 77°

 

So,

a = b + 26 = 103°
