How do psychologists avoid false conclusions?

These are several things they could do:
- Avoid jumping to conclusions. Many new psychologists often directly jump into conclusions without analyzing the whole picture
- Examine assumptions, and started looking for proof for that initial assumptions
- Generate new ideas, 
They continually look for more data and improve what they already know
- Evaluate evidence, and make decisions based on that evidence, not their personal feeling
