2x+30=37.5
2x= 7.5
x = 3.75

answer: width = 3.75 ft

2x + 2(27/4) = 37.5
2x + 13.5 = 37.5
2x = 24
x = 12

length = 12 ft, width = 27/4 ft

A = 12 . 27/4
A = 81 square feet
