Albert Einstein hasn't really "invented" things. Yet, what makes him known for are his discoveries.
He discovered:
Quantum Theory of Light
E=mc2
Brownian Movement
etc.

On second thought, he invented the "Einstein Refrigerator". But he's least known for it.
