Why does antidiuretic hormone help regulate an abnormal increase in solute concentration in the extracellular fluid?

Because if there an increase win solute extracellularly that will pull most of the water out of the blood vessels and a function of the antidiuretic hormone is to increase blood volume by reabsorbing water from urine and maintaining electrolyte balance so blood pressure and volume remain constant or at equilibrium
