You rent a canoe for $5 per hour. Your cost before the tax is added is $12.50. Write and solve an equation to find the number of hours that you rented the canoe.

My equation is 5X = 12.50 , then I divide 5 from both side to get 2.5 for the number of hours that rented the canoe. Two and half hours I guess.
