i divide it into rectangle and triangle

rectangle = l×b = 7×4 = 28

triangle = 1/2× b×h = 1/2 × 3× 4 = 6

total= 28+6=34 sq.inch

for second figure,

I divide it into a square and two rectangles

square = 3×3= 9

1st rectangle= 4×7=28

2nd rectangle= 3× 1 =3

Total = 40 sq.m
