So, let's start off slow.

1 Soda - 1.25
1 hot dog - 2.50

So, you want 3 sodas and 2 hotdogs.

1 Soda is 1.25
So, 1.25 times 3
1.25*3 = 3.75
So, the answer is $3.75 for the cost of 3 sodas.

Now the hotdogs.

1 hotdog is 2.50
So, 2.50 times 2
2.5*2 = 5

Now we add up the prices for both of the hotdogs and the sodas.

5 + 3.75 = 8.75

It would cost $8.75 for 3 sodas and 2 hotdogs.
Hope that helped.
