Write an equation for the line
perpendicular to y = 2x - 5 that contains (-9,6).
---
The given line has slope = 2
Any line perpendicular to it must have slope = (-1/2)
----
Form:
y = mx + b
Solve for "b":
6 = (-1/2)(-9) + b
6 = (9/2) + b

b = 3/2
----------------
Equation:
y = (-1/2)x + (3/2)
