Start by multiplying the 2 to the (9) and you get 18 so now you have |5 - 18| +9^2/3, subtract the 5 from the 18 and you get |-13| and the absolute value of that is 13 so you have 13+9^2/3, so turn the ^2/3 into a decimal then you should have 9^0.667 (the 6 is repeating) and that should leave you with 4.327 and add 13 to that and you have 17.327. I hope this helps ^_^
