F = ma
it has acceleration in its formula, through which we know accleration has direction. so force becomes vector quantity.

Force is only a vector quantity because it possesses one in its equation. Since the equation of force is: Force = mass * acceleration, and acceleration is a vector quantity, force is a vector quantity as well.
