AG = 4 units

Just subtract the radius (5) by GB (1)

ED = 2√41 or 12.81 units

Since we calculated for AG and the radius is 5, we can use the Pythagorean theorem. The radius 5 will be the hypotenuse while line AG (4) will be a leg for the right triangle.

So,

[tex]5^{2} - 4^{2} = \sqrt{41}[/tex]

Then we want to find the whole chord, so we double the answer.

2 x [tex]\sqrt{41}[/tex] = 2[tex]\sqrt{41}[/tex] or 12.81

Enjoy your day
