The practice of Buddhism and the use of arts by Tibetan people are not solely from this region but practiced among various parts of Asia, including Nepal, Bhutan, Mongolia, India, and Northern China. These artistic practices have influenced the regions where it was spread but it was also influenced by them. The fortress of Punahka or the monastery of Tongsa are examples of Indian influence in Himalayan art.
