The density is given by the formula [tex]d=\frac{m}{V}[/tex], where d is density, m is the mass and v the volume. The 7ml of water displaced is the volume of the solid so

[tex]d=\frac{m}{V} =\frac{14}{7} = 2g/ml[/tex]
