Shays' Rebellion opened the people's eyes to how weak the Articles of Confederation were. After the rebellion, the government realized that they need a stronger form of government. I feel that if Shays' Rebellion had been a peaceful protest, it would not have had the same impact because people wouldn't pay attention to a quiet, little protest. They needed to protest violently so that everyone would hear about it, protest with them, and hopefully gain a better government and economy.
