i need help solving x^2-2=7 by factoring

x^2-2=7

Subtract 7 from both sides

x^2-2-7=7-7

x^2-9=0

x^2-3^2=0

Using a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)

Where a=x and b=3

(x-3)(x+3)
