Tom got a 90, 87, and 72 on his math exams. What score does he have to get on his next exam to have an average of 88?

[tex]\frac{90 + 87 + 72 + x}{4} = 88[/tex]

90 + 87 + 72 + x = 88(4)

             249 + x = 352

                        x = 103

Answer: 103
