When solving inequalities you want to first group all like terms, so you'd first add 8 to both sides, and get rid of the extra number on the left side.

7x ≤ -7

Then you'd isolate the variable, so you should divide both sides by 7.

x ≤ -1

When graphing the equation the solution set includes -1 so you would put a closed circle (filled in). The variable "x" is less than and equal to -1 so you would put the arrow facing left  <----.
