The Greenbacker party was a post civil war political party that believed in anti monopoly! It’s members who were called Greenbackers worked to oppose reduction in the amount of paper money in circulation! As the party’s name referee to non gold backer paper money, its members believed that the continuous use of unbanked currency would best foster businesses and assist farmers by raising prices and helping to make debts easier to pay!

Hope that helps :)
